Awkwafina
Awkwafina was an American actress and musician. She began by releasing funny, well-written rap songs that addressed questions of racial identity and sexual orientation. She then expanded her fans to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first music experience. She played the trumpet. Apart from classical music and jazz, the young Nora started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even learning Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. After graduating, she began to concentrate on music. My Vag, her My Vag song, My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a popular viral sensation across the Internet and was later featured on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. Some other hits that went viral included Queef track, and the witty NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The last track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, released in the year 2015. Alongside having a book published as well, she also worked as a performer. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered a number of notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. It was in June that she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
