Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. Parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Bell was raised and birthed in Huntington Woods Michigan. She is the daughter of a Polish and her father is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment at an early stage of her life. In 1992 she won her first acting role in the auditions for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mom signed her up with an agency just before her 13th birthday. She was then featured in TV commercials as well as newspaper advertisements. Additionally, she began to take classes in acting privately. Bell played a brief, uncredited part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell participated in the drama and music club in Shrine Catholic High School. She was a part of Dorothy in the high-school production that was The Wizard of Oz. Bell later moved in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. Bell dropped out of studying in the year 2001, and began playing Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene was cut and the credits only display her. Bell appeared part of the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
